To safeguard against disruptions and enable quick comebacks, Canals regularly drills our team for common (and uncommon) contingencies, and uses industry-leading tools for incident response. AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail create detailed audit trails, GuardDuty proactively detects threats, and multi-AZ recovery procedures are deployed.

Canals is built for high-volume, multi-branch operations. Canals customers have processed over 8 million sales orders and $5B in payables, including customers whose sales exceed $10B. Our infrastructure is AWS-based and scales automatically with your order volume and branch count.
Yes. Canals is ERP-agnostic and sits on top of your existing systems rather than requiring you to consolidate them first. Whether one division runs Infor SX.e and another runs Epicor Eclipse, Canals can integrate with each independently–so an in-progress ERP consolidation or a fragmented, acquisition-driven tech stack isn't a blocker to getting started.
Canals is SOC 2 Type II audited, with semi-annual third-party penetration testing and continuous vulnerability scanning. Our infrastructure uses AWS layered architecture with VPC isolation, private subnets, and strict IAM controls, and data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We support SSO/SAML and MFA with role-based access controls, and we never share your data or use it to train models for other customers–you retain full ownership, with data deleted within 30 days of contract termination. We're happy to share our full security documentation with your IT or security team. Learn more about Data Security & Privacy at Canals.
In most cases, yes. We have native integrations with the ERPs most common in wholesale distribution–including Epicor Eclipse and P21, Infor CSD, SX.e, and M3, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, and Acumatica–and integration with these systems is typically fast, often live within a day or two with minimal IT lift (usually just API credentials and IP whitelisting). For less common, legacy, or homegrown systems, we support alternative methods like SFTP file sync, EDI, or CSV upload, so the absence of a modern API doesn't rule out integration.
A Canals implementation is fast, lightweight, and requires minimal IT resources. Most customer-side IT professionals only need to spend a few hours on credentials, IP whitelisting, and quality assurance testing before launch. The Canals customer success and implementation engineering teams help customers get connected quickly, begin using Canals within days, and see ROI early without major workflow disruption.
If you're in the middle of a major change, like an ERP upgrade, implementing Canals can be a quick win. Customers have even implemented Canals in the midst of ERP changes because it is such a low lift.
We don't recommend rolling out to every branch at once. Most large customers start with a pilot–a single branch, region, or workflow–prove the value, and then expand in phases.
